WHAT I LEARNED WHEN I READ THE BIBLE
Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.” (Genesis 9:6 NIV). We all know murder is abominable to God, but have you ever asked yourself why? I know that may seem like an odd question. “Of course, it is abominable, Lisa Lou. You have taken a life God created!” Yes, but it is more than that. Remember what Genesis 1:27 says, “…God made man in HIS OWN IMAGE...” (emphasis mine). No other creature is made in God’s image. When a person maliciously spills the blood of another human, they are killing the very “image of God.
