I’m all about estate sales and resale shops. I am very picky as to which ones I will go to, because I’m not going to waste my time rummaging through junk.
Choose high end areas of town for re-sale and sign up for estate sale notices with your local companies (you can choose only the areas of town in which you are interested). Before you buy something new, ask yourself if you could find the same item through a secondary market.
Both of these silver containers are called Paul Revere bowls. Depending on the size, these cost roughly $200-$300. The one on the right, I purchased new, and paid $250. The one on the left, I purchased at my local resale shop…for $25!
