A small entryway does not need to be bland. Make it cozy by adding a ladderback chair (or any chair that does not look too big), a small table and some flowers. For Christmas, I used poinsettias and placed candy canes in a vintage Santa sleigh for my guests as they enter or leave. Keep it simple so you do not overpower the room.
