Never Assume Someone is Invited to a Party
Updated: Apr 6
Q: I like to know what other guests will be attending a party, so that I do not assume someone is invited when they are not. How do I find out?
A: If you want to know if a person is invited, ask the hostess. She will not mind. Never ask another person if they are attending an event without confirming first with the hostess that the person has been invited. This is an assumption that will come back to bite you, and it also puts the hostess in an awkward situation. We all know what happens when we assume: It makes an ass out of u and me: assume.
