I can go forward and take chances in life, because I am not worried what the world will think of me. Once I shifted my focus from approval horizontally to approval vertically, I came to the full realization that I perform for an audience of one: God. Like all parents, when a child performs on stage and gives her best, even if it is not 5-star quality by the world’s standards, the parent is filled with joy. I know when I work only for God, giving everything I have with the talents He has given me, He is pleased. Once I learned to seek only HIS approval, I finally understood what it meant to walk in freedom.
