Elaborate and tall centerpieces are fabulous but remember to keep it low for the dining table: below 12” or above 20”. Otherwise, your guests cannot converse, which means we are more focused on entertaining than we are on hospitality, and there is a difference. My Christmas centerpiece stays about the height of my crystal. It’s a good guideline I like to use. Pinterest is full of beautiful ideas, but don’t let your desire for the picture-perfect table take precedence over showing genuine hospitality.
