Decor Ideas:
1. Greet each guest with a ghoulish drink.
2. Lights should be low for this type of party, with lots of candles. If you can pull it off, don’t have any lights on in the entertaining areas, and just move around by candlelight.
3. Black roses for your centerpiece in a big crystal vase.
4. A Murder Mystery party calls for tall tapered candles. If you have 2 candelabras, place them on either side of your black roses.
5. Around the table place the different types of murder weapons you will find in the game you are playing that evening: butcher knife, candlestick, etc.
6. A white tablecloth with a black lace overlay adds a dramatic affect.
7. Party Favor: Your guests will want to commemorate the evening. Have a Polaroid camera and take a picture of each guest/couple as they arrive. If you have time, place the pictures of the guests in a frame to give them on the way out the door. If you don’t have time, have a picture card where you can place the photo.
